I'm Shane. I wrote all the books available in Bitbook and on getabook.today.
How long did all this take?
It took three years to build the software. I wrote my first novel in February of 2011. I published my most recent novel on October 20, 2020.
What genres do you write?
Military science fiction, YA fantasy, romance, LitRPG and non-fiction so far. I've written nine novels and 18 novellas.
Why did you build Bitbook?
I think electronic publishing has a lot of potential, and I wanted a platform I could use to distribute all my books, not just the ones with only text. We have a lot of plans for this platform: game books, comics, art books, audiobooks, party games, illustrated books and much more!
What devices are supported?
Any device that can read a web page is compatible with Bitbook: Android phones and tablets, iPad, iPhone, laptops, Surface tablets, PCs, televisions, handheld game consoles, Kindles, you name it.
Are your books available anywhere else?
All my books (with the exception of the new types listed above) are available on Amazon. Some are available in paperback.
Then what's so special about Bitbook?
This is where you get the books that aren't available anywhere else. Alert Force is a good example. It's the semi-official "Book Five" of the Starship Expeditionary Fleet series. You can't buy it anywhere. It's only available to Bitbook members.
